The Sweetheart Gala & Auction is an annual event benefiting the
boys & Girls Club of Sonoma Valley, with 2010 marking the 25th annual. It is a black tie event usually held on the second Saturday of February. Every year the Boyd & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley honors a Sweetheart, a person or persons who have made a significant impact on the club. The Gala is held at the Boys & Girls Clubs Maxwell Clubhouse in Sonoma, which is transformed for one night only into a beautifully decorated hall. Some of the past themes have been James Bond and Vintage Vegas.

Each day, 400 kids come to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley. They come to play, of course. But also to learn the things that their schools are cutting back on: arts, athletics, computer science — we even help them complete their homework. Each year, the Club serves 35,000 snacks and 7,000 breakfasts. Nourishment isn’t limited to food; the Club is staffed with smart, caring adults who provide the instruction and encouragement kids need to learn and grow. Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley are a private, nonprofit organization providing over 2000 Sonoma Valley kids aged 6-18 years with educational, recreational, and leadership programs. The Club serves approximately 40% of the total youth population in Sonoma (ages 6-18).
Our mission is to provide positive opportunities for youth to learn and succeed.
A Boys & Girls Club Provides
