Introduction
Glen Ellen was home to two depots during the late 1800's and early 1900's. Though separated by only a block, one served the Santa Rosa to Napa Junction line of Southern Pacific while the other was a terminus for the Sonoma Valley Branch of the Northwestern Pacific Railroad.
